Incredible lunch. The restaurant serves just one exceptional dish, called tai meshi, super fresh and tasty. Staff were very friendly and the language barrier was not an issue, they were so happy to help us understand how to combine the plates. Very lucky to discover this place, one of out highlights of original great food in Japan.

We came quite early just after 10 in the morning, there was no queue. We had classic taimeshi set and seasonal one with tuna sashimi. Food arrived very quickly. Sea bram was fresh and very tasty. Tuna was also very good. Worth mentioning is that restaurant adds additional 10% service charge to the bill.

A fantastic experience in Matsuyama. A traditional dinner with TAI-MESHI. The dogo beer served is truly excellent. I recommend everyone to stop here.

Until this evening I had no idea what Taimeshi. I discovered this place on Google maps and I did not regret the choice. Food was great tasty, and quality and atmosphere were amazing too! Fish tasted so good and portions where enough. Really reccomended place for everyone. Only one thing: staff does not speak anything of English so it is not the easiest in case they ask you something. Get your speech to text translator ready to avoid issues there.

According to the hotel this was the best place for Tai-Meshi… and yes, it was delicious and quick

Uwajima sea bream rice is a local Ehime dish. We are particular about local production for local consumption, and use Ehime sea bream, rice, eggs, local sake, soy sauce, and miso. The eggs in the sauce are beaten, then sea bream sashimi and condiments are added, and eaten while pouring over warm rice. Jakoten is also freshly fried and very delicious.

Although a bit pricey, their Taimeshi is delicious. I got the set with Jakoten but the Jakoten itself wasn't very good. There is a shop across the street that sells Jakoten on a skewer and that was absolutely delicious, I'd recommend that instead.

Had one of the best ramen noodles at this restaurant near the temple. The cold weather complimented the hot beef ramen in a lovely broth. I loved it. We had complimentary green tea that was so refreshing. Will definitely visit again.
